Fertility Treatments at Dr. Prathista Clinic

Starting a family – or planning for one – can bring up a lot of questions. At Dr. Prathista Clinic, we help couples understand what’s really going on with their fertility and guide them toward the right treatment, one step at a time.

Every consultation is private, unhurried, and judgment-free. Whether you’re just beginning to plan, facing unexplained delays, or ready to try a specific procedure, our team walks you through it clearly – without unnecessary tests or pressure.
If you’ve been trying to conceive for a while without success, the first step is figuring out why – not guessing. Our routine infertility analysis looks at both partners together, since fertility challenges can come from either side or a combination of factors.
This typically includes:
  • A detailed history of your menstrual cycle, past pregnancies, and general health
  • Hormone level testing
  • Ultrasound evaluation of the ovaries and uterus
  • Semen analysis for the male partner
  • Checks for tubal blockage or other structural issues, if needed
Once we have the full picture, we sit down with you and explain what the results actually mean, and what your options are – in plain language, not just lab reports.

Not sure if this applies to you?

Good preparation before pregnancy can make a real difference to how it goes. Pre-pregnancy counselling is for couples who are planning to conceive and want to go in with the best possible start.
We cover things like:
  • Reviewing your current health, medications, and any existing conditions (thyroid, diabetes, PCOS, etc.) that could affect pregnancy
  • Vaccination status and any updates needed
  • Nutrition, weight, and lifestyle factors that influence fertility and pregnancy outcomes
  • Screening for genetic or hereditary conditions that run in the family
  • Folic acid and other supplements to begin before conception
This isn’t about adding more to worry about – it’s about catching small, fixable things early so they don’t become bigger issues later.
More couples are choosing to check their fertility health before marriage, simply to plan their future with clarity. This evaluation is done jointly for both partners and covers reproductive health, any existing conditions that could affect fertility, and family planning goals.
We also use this time to talk openly about:
  • What to expect in terms of timeline once you decide to plan a pregnancy
  • Any conditions identified that may need attention early (in either partner)
  • Genetic counselling, where relevant
  • General reproductive health awareness for both partners
The goal is simple – no surprises later, and a chance to address anything early while there’s time to do something about it.

Ovulation Induction with Timed Intercourse (OI + TI)

For women who don’t ovulate regularly – often due to PCOS or other hormonal imbalances – ovulation induction can help restore a predictable cycle. We use medication to stimulate the ovaries to release an egg, and then track that process closely with ultrasound scans and hormone monitoring.
Once we identify the fertile window, we guide you on timing so intercourse aligns with ovulation – giving you the best natural chance of conception that cycle.
This approach is usually recommended as a first step before moving to more involved procedures, and works well for many couples, especially when the main issue is irregular or absent ovulation.

Wondering if OI + TI is right for you?

IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)

IUI is a step up from OI + TI and is often suggested when timed intercourse hasn’t worked, or when there are mild fertility factors involved (such as slightly reduced sperm motility, cervical mucus issues, or unexplained infertility).

Here’s what the process generally looks like:

Ovarian stimulation

Medication is used to encourage the development of one or more mature eggs, monitored through scans.

1

Sperm preparation

The sperm sample is washed and concentrated in the lab, isolating the healthiest, most motile sperm.

2

Insemination

The prepared sperm is placed directly into the uterus around the time of ovulation, using a thin, soft catheter. It’s a quick procedure, done in the clinic, with no anesthesia required.

3

Follow-up

A pregnancy test is scheduled about two weeks later.

4

IUI is less invasive and more affordable than IVF, which is why it’s often tried first when the situation allows for it. We’ll be upfront with you about whether it’s a good fit for your specific case, or whether another treatment path makes more sense.

Common Questions

Is the first consultation confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed stays between you and your care team.
For most evaluations, yes – fertility is a shared journey, and joint history helps us give accurate guidance. We can advise on specific cases if this isn’t possible.
Most patients are seen within a few days. Call or WhatsApp us and we’ll find the earliest slot.
No. We always start with the simplest, least invasive approach that fits your situation, and only recommend more advanced treatment if needed.

Ready to Get Started?

If you’re unsure which of these applies to you, that’s completely normal – most couples aren’t sure either. Book a consultation with us, and we’ll help you figure out the right starting point based on your history and goals.
